Steve doesn't play an instrument yet, but we will probably start him on piano soon. He likes anything "cool" and has a fixation on how the square root of a squared number is the original number itself. His class was making snowflakes that were four-sided, so we worked on making six-sided ones and he liked that. He is a very fast runner, and his main sport is soccer - though all the kids ski.

Tim plays trumpet, after finally giving up on piano. His main sports are tennis and skiing, plus bicycling. His favorite activity is pyrotechnics, and we are doing some rocket work. He seems to like science at school, but right now his favorite subjects are those with his favorite teachers. When I recently encouraged him to practice trumpet, he replied simply, "I don't need to."

Tim just passed a milestone by getting taller than his mother. He is growing like a weed, and often has a corresponding temperament.
