The Story

Vic Johnson and I skied up to Zimmerman Lake just east of Cameron Pass and the Nokhu Crags on Hwy 14 at the top of Poudre Canyon. It was snowing lightly, ~20?F, and although it was quite windy, conditions in the trees were peaceful and pleasant. We came down at Long Draw reservoir, where I hitched a ride back to the original parking lot about 8 miles back up the road.

We skied for about 4 hours. We wanted to ski some open bowls up the
mountain, but the snow was too deep to get any speed. Vic and I
occasionally take hiking or skiing trips close to our homes in Fort Collins,
Colorada. Our last was a great hiking trip up to the top of Flat top
mountain in Rocky Mountain National Park. Vic is father to Isaih, Jake's
best friend.
