He is a graduate of the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design, and a past president of the Houston Production Managers Association. He also teaches night classes at the Art Institute of Houston. Citywood offers "affordable" creative services, including art direction and copywriting, for print and web site design. Jay began his career as a production artist after graduating with a bachelor of fine arts degree. His design skills are complemented by his extensive knowledge of the latest computer-based graphics tools. He is responsible for the design of ads, brochures, logos, newsletters, catalogs and various collateral pieces. Prior to joining RL&A, Jay successfully ran his own graphic design business. Over the years, his work has been recognized with numerous awards for creative excellence. Jay is an avid bird watcher. His office is located on a 2.5 acre, heavily wooded site in the geographic center of Houston, Because it is like a small forest in the middle of a large city, they have named the site "Citywood". When Robert Lamons & Associates first moved there, Jay charted more than 30 varieties of birds on the property in the first few months after the move. |
