Benno Suits Baer is homeschooled.   His interests are astronomy, sports, music, board games, legos, yoyos, skating, art, comics (Dilbert), movies in which people get eaten, buildings explode, planes crash.  King Kong and Nosferatu are two of his favorite movies. Benno was born severely hearing impaired (deafness in his dad's family)

Benjamin (Benno, Ben) Baer 10 Years Old  -  Born May 4, 1983

so he really enjoys great classic films from the silent era and physical comedy of Laurel and Hardy.  He adores Lou Costello.  Singin in the Rain is a favorite of his and the whole family.  He likes Jimmy Cagney, Donald O'Connor and anyone who can tap and make great faces.

His favorite bands are the Kinks and The Who.  He has an electric guitar and a set of Rogers drums. All the family are all learning sign language though he hears quite well with the one hearing aid. Though his speech is remarkably close to "normal".   He is working hard to fit into and keep up with the hearing world around him.  It isn't easy, but once we all learn sign, his learning will come easier. Ben is the natural athlete of the family and plays baseball, tennis, golf, soccer, swimming.  He wants to be a movie director. He loves to watch Arthur and Wheel of Fortune and NFL and NBA . His favorite athlete is Andre Agazzis.  He will be taking tap dancing and electric guitar lessons this year. If any one of the boys shows an interest in art, it is Benno.  He has a very developed sense of composition and color.
