Jane Vieth Suits and Jan Diepersloot
Jan immigrated to California from The Hague, Holland, 12/31/58

Jean and Jane Vieth
They are half sisters. Their father was Jim Vieth.
He died in 2007 at the age of 96.

We take the Napa Valley Wine Train
It takes a 36-mile, 3 hour journey through the heart
of the Napa Valley wine country.  Lunch and dinner
are cooked to order on board elegantly restored
1915-47 Pullman dining, lounge and Vista Dome cars.

Huge winding wheels
These wheels in the central powerhouse pull the cables
around the entire system at a constant speed of 9.5 miler per hour. Cable cars basically latch onto the cable to propel themselves along their routes.

Jean Vieth
She is an Administrative Law Judge for the California Public
Utilities Commission. A Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART)
station is a ten minute walk from her home. The
commute to downtown San Francisco from Walnut Creek
by fast comfortable BART takes about 45 minutes each way
